Fluidride: Like A Pro was produced by Mark Brent and the crew @ Bones Over Metal.com for Simon Lawton of Fluidride. Simon Lawton is a veteran downhill Pro and instructor of 15 Years. He is joined in this effort by Lars Sternberg, also a Fluidride Pro rider.

 

Fluidride: Like a Pro focuses on the body movement of successful cyclists, and breaks down complex movements into an easily understandable format. A mix of discussion, theory, physics, and actual lessons, Fluidride: Like A Pro tackles each section from a variety of angles with excellent trail riding and racing examples to illustrate technique. We don’t usually repost info we find on other sites. However, a post on Slick Lines had us breaking this rule…

They broke the news that Evil Bikes was sold. We went to Evil Bikes.com and found this report:

“Evil Bikes was recently purchased by an undisclosed Seattle based management group, who we will refer to as “The Project” for the time being. The rider owned group has an extensive brand, product development, and design history within the mountain bike industry.“

IMG_3715.jpgThe Fluidride Cup, held in conjunction with Hurricane Racing, Ndub productions, should bring countless opportunities for PNW DH racers and those into Dual Slalom. Locations as of now are: Port Angele, WA. and Mt Hood, Or.

Next race is at Mount Hood on May 10th and 11th. Get Room Rates for this weekend in Mt Hood.

The weather is breaking and riders are dragging their bikes out and dusting off their legs. The sun is drying up the trails in places like Seattle. Yeah, Seattle! While the East Coast of the States is getting rocked by a spring storm, and Cali is bracing for driving rains, Seattle has been sunny and down right special. Here’s a few photos from Saturday’s session @ SST.

Slovak President bans MTBs

According to the article at the end of this link, the President of Slovakia bans mountain biking on all of the small country’s trails. It turns out they don’t have any advocacy groups to help fight their cause. This really drives home the importance of supporting your local group.
