Thanks to years of hard work, over 12,000 volunteer hours, and the welcoming spirit of the neighbors, Colonnade is almost done. And now it’s time to party! Please join the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance (formerly BBTC) for the Grand Opening of I-5 Colonnade, Saturday, September 13th from 10am to 2pm.
Call your friends, bring your bike and helmet, come for the ribbon cutting at 10am, stay all day! There is plenty in store.
Try your luck in the raffle drawing. Prizes include a Shimano Saint Component Group, a weekend at Whistler, a Specialized mountain bike, Transition wheel set, REI gear pack, gift packs from FSA, Nuun, and much more. All proceeds benefit Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance (BTTC). Tickets are $5/1; $10/3; $20/8; drawing is at 12:00 noon, must be present to win.
· Check out booths and collect schwag from Shimano, Intense, REI, FSA, Clif Bar, Nuun, Cascade Bicycle Club, Trips for Kids, Seattle LunaChix and many more.
· Enjoy an end-of-summer BBQ (small donation requested).
· Find your Colonnade Rock and check out trails sponsored by Shimano, Clif Bar and Cascade Bicycle Club.
See you there!
Also Check Out Regional DNR Meetings:
I met recently with Randy Acker, the head of the South Puget Sound DNR regional office. He told me these meetings are going to be informal and a an opportunity to discuss recreational use on DNR land. I have also shot a video interview with Randy. I will have that up soon. Get out and tell them what you want. Be Clear, Concise and think of all the user types. In Randy’s words they want partners, not simply users.
