So, we have decided to build a collection of the best photos of mountain biking. To do this we are running a Picture of the Day, a.k.a. POD, contest. We have invited the public and photographers to submit their PODs. Each winning POD is considered for the Month’s Best POD. The photographer of that Top POD gets swag and notoriety.
Submit your photos here. April’s winner will snag a Fluidride: Like A Pro DVD and a Bones Over Metal T-shirt.

March’s Winning POD
Rider: Brian Miller doing and inverted 360
Location: Aptos Dirt Jumps, Aptos, CA.
Notes: This photo was picked because of the timing of the shot. The connection between the rider and the spectator echo the pink streak across the sunset sky. This is a very difficult shot to get correctly. |

Runner Up:
Photo: By Karen Johanson
Rider: Darren Berrecloth
Location: CrankWorx
Note: This photo captures the ethereal quality of the jumper against the sky. Great exposure and timing as well.

Honorable Mention:
Photo: By Jay Boysen
Rider: Corey Webster
Location: Bowen Island
Note: This photo has that same timing quality of the previous two photos. The color is fabulous and captures the deep summer of the scene. Look how rich the dirt and green grass. Great shot!

Dirt Digler
Nice choice, I was thinking that would be my 1st pick as well. Was I the only one amazed by this trick, I have never seen anyone on a mountain bike do that before. Also is that Lacondaguy looking on?
